Strawberry and Cream Cheese Danish

  • Klarbrunn Strawberry Guava Sparkling Water for serving
  • 1 14- oz Puff Pastry thawed
  • 1 large Egg
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 large Egg Yolk
  • 3 tbsp. Granulated Cane Sugar
  • 1 tbsp. Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp. Lemon Zest
  • 1/3 cup Fresh Strawberries thinly sliced


  • Preheat oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, egg yolk, sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest until smooth and well-combined. Set aside.
  • On a floured work surface, add the puff pastry. If needed, lightly roll out to a large rectangle shape. Using a sharp knife, cut off the two top corners of dough, about 2" from outside corners. Cut off two smaller corners on the bottom, about 1" from outside corners. Cut two small triangles, about 1" wide, towards the center. See video for visual instructions.
  • Add a thin layer of the cream cheese in the center of the puff pastry. Add the thinly sliced strawberries on top.
  • Create long diagonal slits along both sides (see video for visual instructions), then crossover alternate sides as if braiding. Pinch the ends together to seal in the braid.
  • Brush with an egg wash.
  • Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  • Drizzle with an icing glaze (1/2 cup powdered sugar + 1 tbsp. water), then bake an additional 2-3 minutes. Allow to cool 10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy with Klarbrunn Strawberry Guava Sparkling Water for a refreshing drink!
